While SWARM's™ primary purpose is to serve as a Disaster Recovery point for your existing data infrastructure, some of our clients prefer to use us as their sole backup source. In these cases, we preserve a proper chain of redundancy by creating a duplicate of the data we receive and storing it in a different geographical location than the primary data backup.
SWARM's™ interface is easy to use and can be configured to monitor individual folders or entire drives. SWARM™ runs in the background working with your operating system to watch for changed files. Whenever a file is created or modified, it is added to a queue of files to be backed up to our remote servers.
SWARM™ begins transferring files when an Internet connection is detected and throttles it's usage to prevent Internet bottlenecking during heavy periods of file modification. Files are encrypted during transit between your facility and ours, ensuring the highest level of security during data transfer.
